J’ai d\u00e9couvert ce produit il y a environs 20 ans. Je participai \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque \u00e0 une liste de discussion (idma mailing list, voir aussi AGORA<\/a>) international, anglophone. Un distillateur Australien m’a contact\u00e9 pour tenter de trouver un livre allemand parlant des huiles essentielles. Il cherchait justement \u00e0 “authentifier” puis donner des r\u00e9f\u00e9rences historiques \u00e0 sa production d’huile essentielle de backhousia. Il ne pouvait pas le trouver car le titre \u00e9tait mal \u00e9crit. Il s’agissait en effet du livre de Gildemeister & Hoffman<\/a>, de la fameuse soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Schimmel & Cie, dont je d\u00e9tiens des copies et les 3 livres en Allemand datant de 1929, d\u00e9crivant d\u00e9j\u00e0 1300 huiles essentielles. Ce livre d\u00e9crivait 3 “backhousia”.
\nJe lui ai pass\u00e9 les copies par mail et en r\u00e9compense j’ai re\u00e7u des \u00e9chantillons: c’\u00e9tait merveilleux et j’ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 importer comme le premier ou un des premiers ce produit en Europe.
\nJ’ai ensuite pass\u00e9 l’adresse de ce producteur \u00e0 des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s importatrices amis, se trouvant dans la Dr\u00f4me, c’est ainsi que le Backhousia (ou Myrte citronn\u00e9e) \u00e0 trouv\u00e9 sa place dans l’aromath\u00e9rapie et la cosm\u00e9tique Bio en France, car elle y \u00e9tait totalement inconnue…<\/p>\n

Il s’agit d’un produit extr\u00eamement puissant dans des m\u00e9langes, car c’est l’huile essentielle qui contient le plus de citrals<\/a> au monde! (plus de 90% de neral+geranial,)
\nL’avantage: une odeur fra\u00eeche, rappelant les agrumes, la m\u00e9lisse, d\u00e9savantage: \u00e0 tendance \u00e0 “chasser” les autres odeurs, donc \u00e0 doser avec mod\u00e9ration mais aussi faire attention aux irritations possibles.
